The people of Mississippi responded to the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympics. The ceremony not only received great feedback from spectators but also from local companies like C Spire. The tech company took to social media to announce it was pulling its ad from the Olympics because it felt the sporting event mocked the Last Supper. “I think it’s a good idea,” said one Jackson man who did not want to be identified. Some believe that part of the opening ceremony of the Olympics was an imitation of the last meal that Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion. People say that they saw during the performance incompatible with Christian values. “I think it’s a sign of how people tend to criticize Christianity more than any other religion.
